My love of soap making began in 2020 when we were in the depths of the pandemic. I couldn’t work for almost 2 months, I lived by myself in basically the middle of nowhere. I didn’t have my cat yet so it was just me, my plants and Tiger King. I was desperate to create but needed something that would keep my attention so I started making candles and decorating the tops with flowers and glitter. I started getting messages asking “how do I buy this?”. So, I got to work.

I had a soap kit collecting dust in a closet too so I started playing around with melt and pour, decorating the tops just like I did with the candles and I fell in love with it. Soon, after watching a million videos and reading books on soap making, I had built up the confidence to try my hand at cold processed soap. And then the orders started coming in! I was shipping to people out of state, I was doing events like the Makers Market, a few businesses inquired about carrying my soaps in their shops and decided to try doing some wholesale stuff. Then, I went through a break-up, I took a giant leap and opened my hair salon, Hygge Hair Studio. Then I fell in love again and moved out of my apartment and didn't have the space to sustain a full on soap business, so it fell to the wayside.

I had enough inventory to sell out of my salon for a while but now the demand was growing again. I decided to get my stuff out of storage and get things going, but I was still lacking the space and decided to try to utilize what space I had in my tiny hair studio. I figured out the logistics after lots of hemming and hawing and I'M BACK BABY! Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the last couple of years ❤️
